Supervision That is
Responsive to You
We deliver supervision that is deliberately and specifically refined to meet the needs of your circumstances.
Supervisees can typically expect their consultations to include active reflection on:
- Client engagement
- Assessment or experience
- The clinicians risk formulation
- Therapeutic options that are commensurate with presentation
- Recommendations and anxieties when working in high risk settings
In situations where the supervision need is considered urgent, we typically focus on a single event/incident/decision:
- The dilemma or circumstances
- Review clinician and service risk assessment and formulation
- Decision making process and options available
There are additional occasions where we are asked to provide urgent supervision, often in response to a notification of an inquiry into professional conduct or complaint. We are also often requested to supervise practitioners whom are subject to orders made by the Psychology Council of NSW. Please note, the conditions of supervision may therefore necessarily require that we target those areas predetermined by the Council or indeed, preclude us from being the provider of these services.
Consultations and Reviews
Reviews of your existing protocols, as well as the enhancement of your processes is available via consultation. Our extensive experience can be brought to bear in optimising and streamlining your operation. Whether you are an organisation delivering support to your workforce, a health care service or private practitioner interfacing with clients experiencing suicidality, we are responsive to your needs.
Training may not be your first or preferred approach, where we can support you to investigate the challenges and consider the options available to meet your needs. A needs assessment may seem simple in the face of complex behaviours or organisational risk, but they may be the best solution to determining a way forward.
From a clinical perspective, conducting audits or reviews of completed psychological assessment reports (as well as clinical notes or case notes) can bear fruit in identifying learning or skills development opportunities.
Following critical incidents, index events or impending reviews, we can conduct forensic style reviews of your services, training and policies against current research and best practice strategies, bringing you in line with your ideal practice standards. We support you to sustain and maintain exceptional standards, drive motivation for excellence, while respectfully highlighting areas for critical consideration on improvement when required.
