Suicide risk among people who experience fatigue syndromes

Suicide risk among people who experience fatigue syndromes

A large number of people experience fatigue syndromes. Elevated suicide risk among these individuals has been reported, and yet robust epidemiological evidence for risks of suicide and other causes of premature death, as well as non-fatal self-harm, is limited. It is therefore important that clinicians, policymakers and members of the public, including people who are diagnosed with these conditions, have an enhanced understanding of these potential risks.
