Carmen Betterridge
Director & Principal Psychologist

Carmen is a Registered Psychologist with over 15 years of experience working with clients of all ages. With postgraduate qualifications in Indigenous Health, Forensic Mental Health and Suicidology, she has ensured her practice is grounded in current research and best practice methodology.

She has attained significant skills in working with clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, having completed hundreds of psychological assessments and interventions. Carmen has demonstrated excellence and legal defensibility in her clinical psychological reports, particularly with respect to clinical formulation. She has performed Expert Witness evaluation of evidence for Queensland Coroners’ Court and can undertake Root Cause Analysis investigations for critical incidents. Carmen lectures in suicidology for the Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention (AISRAP) and Griffith University, in addition to being a consultant trainer for the STARS Protocol under Jacinta Hawgood. Carmen is an acclaimed speaker, across national and international events.
