SRAA are really proud to announce the launch of Stay'n Alive, a newsletter that summarises some of the latest research, emerging information and developments in the field of suicidology. Our aim is to support those time poor practitioners to remain in touch with advancements in the field when it is not their core work, or indeed when some of the research is yet to advance into clinical practice.
We will seek to produce newsletters that cover themes or key topics of interest and for the quarter September 2015 we have focused on Disability, Illness and Pain. If you have a special interest that you would like us to present within Stay'n Alive, don't hesitate to let us know!
The content of Stay'n Alive comes from peer reviewed journals, information that has been presented at national conferences (by reputable scholars or practitioners) as well as publications with authority in the field. Not all evidence presented can be as thorough as you may like, so we always encourage you to return to the article/journa/book cited where possible to read for yourself. For those cases where information has been gathered from a conference, we endevour to provide you with the details of the presenter so you may approach them directly for more information.
Overall, we hope that you find the newsletters informative!
